Nathaniel Webster Identified As Man Killed In Fatal Stabbing On West Market Street; Suspect Arrested

The identity of the man who was fatally stabbed near the Portland and Russell neighborhoods on Friday morning has been released by the Jefferson County Coroner.

According to Louisville Metro spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, officers were called to the scene of a reported stabbing around 10:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim with stab wounds.

According to reports, the victim was transported to University Hospital where they later passed away. 47-year-old Nathaniel Webster has been identified.

Tyrone Eugene, aged 36, was arrested by the police. One count of murder has been charged against him in relation to the stabbing incident that occurred in the 2600 block of West Market Street.

According to official records, Eugene has been booked in Metro Corrections and is scheduled to appear in court on April 29.

The ongoing investigation is being handled by LMPD’s Homicide Unit.
