The victim was transported to Jackson Park Hospital and later transferred to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious condition. According to family members, the boy was undergoing surgery last Saturday.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, the child was declared deceased on Saturday, April 29, one week after the incident. The identity of the individual has not been disclosed yet.
