Reshard Glenn Shot As Police Search For Suspect In Providence Shooting


According to Providence Police Major David Lapatin, police are looking for a man who is accused of shooting a woman in the capital city earlier this week.

Following reports of gunfire in the area early on Wednesday morning, police sped to an apartment complex on Hartford Avenue.


According to Lapatin, the woman was “making noise” while attempting to enter an apartment building when Reshard Glenn, 26, who lived there, stepped downstairs and shot her in the stomach.

The injured party was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.


A woman who resides at the apartment complex was interviewed by 12 News. The victim was trying to catch her attention by pounding on the door, the woman who begged not to be named said.
