It appears that a Louisville Metro Police Department officer who was hurt in a shooting spree about three weeks ago has recently made a “huge step forward” in his recuperation.
On April 10, a headshot to Officer Nick Wilt happened at Old National Bank. He was reacting to an incident when five individuals were killed and numerous more were hurt.
Wilt was injured while doing his job duties just a few days after starting.
Since then, he has been in critical condition in the hospital.
On Friday, a letter from Wilt’s family was published by the Louisville Metro Police Foundation. It stated that he could now open his eyes.
