Nathanial Webster Identified As 47-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed On West Market Street; Suspect Arrested

According to Louisville Metro Police, a man was fatally stabbed on West Market Street on Friday morning.

According to an email from LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, the incident occurred close to the intersection of West Market and South 26th streets at around 10:30 a.m.

On Saturday morning, the victim was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as 47-year-old Nathanial Webster. According to the coroner, the cause of death was attributed to multiple stab wounds.

According to Smiley, police were notified on Friday morning about a stabbing incident. Upon the arrival of the officers, it was discovered that Webster was experiencing a stab wound. The individual was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital while in critical condition.

According to the police, Webster was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., authorities reported the apprehension of 36-year-old Tyrone Eugene in relation to the homicide. The individual in question has been charged with murder as a preliminary charge.

Surveillance video reportedly showed Eugene stabbing the victim multiple times, according to court documents. According to the police report, the suspect confessed to stabbing the victim.
