Lathan Tero Identified As 63 Year Old Man Found Stabbed To Death In N. Harris Co. Apartment

A man’s body was discovered at a north Harris County apartment complex with multiple stab wounds. The victim may be a 63-year-old man whose family has not had contact with him for several days.

Eyewitness News reporter Miya Shay was informed by family members when she arrived at an ongoing investigation in the 13800 block of Ella Boulevard, near West Rankin, on Friday afternoon.

The nature of the investigation at the Cranbrook Forest apartment complex was first mentioned by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

According to family members, the man who lived alone in the apartment has been identified as Lathan Tero.

Upon not receiving any communication from her brother for several days, the concerned sister contacted the apartment complex and requested that the management conduct a welfare check on him.

The body of Tero was discovered in the living room. According to sheriff investigators, the victim sustained several stab wounds. According to reports, there was no evidence of forced entry into the residence and the motive for Tero’s death remains unclear.

According to a tweet by Gonzalez, deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 were dispatched to attend to a service call at approximately 9:42 a.m. An adult male was discovered deceased by units due to multiple stab wounds.
