
The victim in the fatal shooting that occurred in Gwinnett County on Friday has been identified by police officials.
On Friday night, a shooting occurred at a restaurant located at the 1300 block of Indian Trail Road resulting in the death of 22-year-old Jerrett Mitchell, according to officials.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Friday evening in Gwinnett County. As per the reports, one person was killed and another was injured in the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Indian Trail Road in response to a report of a person who had been shot, according to officials. According to the police, the victim who had passed away was found in the entrance of a nearby eatery.
According to official sources, the second victim was taken to a nearby medical facility to receive treatment for an injury that is not believed to be life-threatening.
A witness who claimed to have seen the incident was interviewed by Atlanta News First. According to the witness, he observed one of the victims sprinting past his vehicle.
According to the user, it sounded like someone or something was approaching them. According to the user, the location was nearby. The witness stated that they were two parking spaces away from the incident. Gunshots were heard.
According to the witness, they heard what initially sounded like two or three shots, followed by several additional shots. According to the witness, there were approximately five to eight individuals present and then a male individual was observed fleeing the scene.
According to the witness, he observed the individual bleeding from his hand, leading him to believe that the person had been struck.

According to the man, it appeared that the individual was injured and in need of assistance. Being present at the scene and witnessing the victim’s body and the injured person firsthand is a vastly different experience.
According to him, the experience is more intimate when reading it. The individual expressed that when experiencing a certain situation, it becomes the sole focus of their thoughts and they contemplate about the possibility of being in a different place. The user stated that they could have been present in the store during that particular time. The user reported having visited the store multiple times. The witness expressed gratitude.
According to reports, two Black men are being sought by the police after they reportedly fled the scene on foot.
According to the police, the men are not considered a danger to the wider community.
No official details have been released by authorities regarding the homicide incident, and the identity of the victim(s) remains unknown at this point.
