According to Police Chief Kem Braden, a police officer from Fayetteville was discovered deceased alongside his wife at their residence after failing to report for duty on Friday. The officer had been shot.
According to Braden, supervisors visited the officer’s home located in the 1300 block of Vandenberg Drive at approximately 6 p.m. to conduct a welfare check. Upon entering the home, the pair was discovered deceased.
According to FPD, the victims have been identified as Domingo Tavarez-Rodriguez and his wife, Yenitza Arroyo Torres. According to reports, both individuals sustained gunshot wounds.
