David E. Williams Identified As Victim In Fatal Twin Cities Crash

The victim killed in a fatal crash on Friday afternoon has been identified by the Mclean County Coroner.

Coroner Kathy Yoder has reported that David E. Williams, aged 58 and a resident of Bloomington, has been confirmed as deceased. This information was released officially.

According to preliminary autopsy results, the cause of death was multiple blunt traumatic injuries resulting from being struck by a vehicle on an interstate highway.

The status of toxicology testing is currently pending.

According to the user, the incident is currently being investigated by the coroner’s office and the Illinois State Police.

A pedestrian-vehicle crash on the southbound lanes of I-55/74 on the west side of Bloomington-Normal has resulted in a fatality.

A crash occurred just south of West Market Street, causing a significant traffic backup during the evening commute. The incident was reported shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday.

According to reports, the pedestrian has been declared deceased. The victim’s name will be released by authorities once their relatives have been notified.

According to a witness who claims to have passed by the location prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, a person was observed on the side of the road, and a sports utility vehicle with damage to its front end was present.

According to the Illinois State Police, drivers were redirected to West Market Street (Illinois Route 9) as all southbound lanes of I-55/74 were closed. According to the police, the southbound lanes were reopened at approximately 8:10 p.m.

The investigation is still ongoing by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and State Police.
